Do I agree with it all? No. But good food for thought with analysis.

53 sample hands and scenarios that simulate going through stages of a tournament. 180 people is not a small tourney but his tournament scenarios starts with 30BB which is short-stacked. Between each scenario you have different stack sizes, positions, etc. and so it's not a single person journey through a single tourney .... it's a jagged, ragged puzzle pieces from 53 tourneys to test your thought process amongst several situations. If you are familiar with Harrington's Volume 3 (the workbook) it is basically that without the point scoring. I use a Kindle to write notes on each answer and then swipe to the next page to compare to Little's. Generally, I found if I answered differently, I had to agree with Mr. Little's answers. The rest require further research. Either way, the book serves its purpose.

Little dissapointed

BIG fan of J. Little. I own his books on tournament poker and enjoy his wpt commentary on the web. But this buy was a waste of money and it makes me wonder if I will buy any other of his books. He very well might have already used up his poker knowledge and is trying to rehash out of date simple concepts for money. Maybe it was worth .99cents to a novice but don't waste your time or money if you have any understanding of how the modern game is played.

Best tourney book for the rest of us

Simple simple simple, it's the easiest format to follow without a lot of extraneous information that quite often just confuses me. My favorite part is that. It gets you to think more by looking at the big picture from different angles. Even if I didn't want to improve my game and I was just interested in the study of strategy or for purely intellectual interest I would still recommend this book.
