Fun spooky stuff!

This was a great book, I loved how candid the author was with all his subjects (candid= spooky in this read). The only think I would have liked better would be if it had pictures, but from what I can tell that is the norm for the series here. In a funny way it was almost a travel guide, after reading this I actually want to visit Moon Lake, Utah. The haunting seemed less spooky and after finding pictures it is a beautiful spot. So if anyone wants a good spooky read as well as a fun dose of Utah history I would recommend this book wholeheartedly.

book was a letdown

there are some very good stories in here. the author did a good job of researching the locals and getting the information. however, his telling of the story is very boring. it's as if he doesn't believe them at all but his publisher told him he had to write them so he forced himself to tell the story. some of them even start off good, but fizzle out. i can't tell you how many times the story just starts to get good and he says, 'well, it must just be the wind'. he even tries to make stories out of places that have no ghost story, but he wants to include that town so he says that there "should" be ghosts there. such as going back to his high school grounds that were torn down. he feels there should be ghosts there. but there is no story. why was this included in the book? i bought this because it included moon lake. one of my favorite places on earth. he basically just copied the newspaper article about the moonlake monster. the story about the little girl caught my attention. i've been there every summer for my entire life and have never heard this one. he ends that this ghost couldn't possibly exist because no little girl ever drowned there according to records. with a little digging though, he could have found out that a young girl, possible 5 or 6 years old was struck by lightening on the beach in the 60's. could this explain why she is wet in the story? it was raining. this book was a very big letdown.

Good Read

I really enjoyed this book. It is a fun way to get a taste of the history of this area. We often retell some of the stories to friends when they visit. We're definitely looking forward to Haunted Idaho.
